A lady is driving along when she gets stopped by a police officer. He walks up to the car and says "Ma'am, you were speeding. I'll need to see your driver's license and registration, please."
She sighs and says "You're right, officer - I was speeding. I was just trying to get away from the house I just burglarized." The officer raises his eyebrows and says "I beg your pardon?".
"Oh yes," she replies. "My husband and I deal drugs, and these people ripped us off on a deal. I took the drugs back and murdered one of them just to show that we meant business. In fact, his body is in my trunk right now!".
The officer says "Ma'am, could you wait right here, please?". He retreats to his car and calls for backup and a supervisor. When the cavalry has arrived, the officer's supervisor approaches the car and says "Ma'am, would you mind if we searched your car?". She smiles sweetly and replies "Not at all, sergeant". The officers go through her car and find absolutely nothing.
As they're finishing up, she innocently asks the supervisor "What seems to be the problem?". He replies "Well ma'am, my officer said that you had just committed a burglary and had drugs and a dead body in your car."
She looks at him wide-eyed and says "He did? I'll bet that lying so-and-so told you I was speeding, too!"
