I had a security clerance from the military and it did not speed up my BI any.

I'll defer to DW for a definitive answer since that's his field of expertise - but my guess is that it won't make any difference as far as the timetable goes.

Probably won't change much, if anything. Might make your job easier filling out your Personal History Statement easier, though.
