The title of this post is disturbing. I have not watched the video, but if it's linked to the subject of the post, I don't think many people care to watch a dog being shot.

You don't know what your missing.......I've watched him shoot the dog 2 or three times now and I am amazed at how accurate his aim is. Must have got the little guy good for him to go down that fast. Maybe I'm sick lol

Can't be much worse than watching a pedestrian get mowed down by a vehicle rollover in the video you posted. :noidea:

Well I wish I could go back and add to it now, and I know it is hard to see but that is my dog from my avitar. That is my boy, my son I would never harm him so watch the video and laugh. I think it is cute. I think you can be pertty sure that if there were an actual kill shot in it, DW would have erased the post by now and i would be kicked off the forum.

Yes, there is nothing educational about shooting a dog.

Yes, there is nothing educational about shooting a dog. This one was very educational.

BTW - Nor-Cal, I had a friend with a cocker and she would do the same thing, only the cocker would fall flat on its side stiff legged. It was a riot.

Thank you cg That was sweet. I always said he was just a perfect dog for us. For those who don't know I was forced to have Duke put to sleep yesterday at 1:30. It absolutely broke my heart. It was even harder going home and not seeing his face there in the window and at the door to greet me. I am kind of lost right now and have found it hard to stay motivated but I am trying. I will need to find another Boston Terrier to keep my wife company while I am in the academy. Duke was my child. I would have done anything for that dog. I spent over 800 in vet bills this month, which is over half what I make. I just feel like something is missing and will never be right. This has been a hard year for me with some definite high times but a lot of lows.

Wow...I am really sorry for your loss, from watching the video and your other photos, he sure seemed like a great friend. I completely understand when you say you feel lost. I had to put my Lab down a couple years back after she survived a heart attack. I haven't been able to bring myself to replace her yet...not sure if I ever will. If it's any relief to you....from looking at your photos, watching the 'shooting video', and reading your posts about Duke...it is very obvious he was a good friend to you and also you to him....very obvious.

Sorry man.

oh yea...hope all goes well at you medical today!

Thank you Yz. He was very loved for the short time he was here. He was only 2 1/2 so this was such a waste of a huge personality. As far as the medical goes, I think it went well. It was quick and almost painless. Wasn't quite expecting the pokie pokie. I kind of feel violated.:lol: I guess we will see how it turns out.

My lab got killed about two years ago by a car, and I thought the same thing. You'll never replace the lost one, but I am sure glad I was able to get one of her half-sisters, and don't regret it.

Nothing beats having a dog around the house.

You are a close combat sniper of doom, I tell you. Must have hit him above the trans-vernal line; absolutely no movement.

Nor-Cal,

Very sorry to hear about your loss. I just went through it twice - 1/06 had to put down my 11 month mini-doxy and then two weeks later had to put down my min-pin I've had for 14 years. It's so hard, but with each day it will get a little better. If you're able and ready to get another dog, do so! They bring much joy and comfort. I don't know what I would have done over the past month if it weren't for my one remaining, precious dog...

Hugs to you!

Just some info folks....Nor-cal hopeful has since replaced Duke (the dog in the video) with another puppy (there is even a thread about naming it), and he is currently a member of CTC I-08...at least I hope he is still there...he has maintained 'Forum Silence' since the Academy began.

Just found it: http://www.chpforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3799

Well don't I feel like a goober! I had forgotten about the whole "bandit" thread. Thanks Yz....
People need to quit ressurecting old threads, simply because I'm to dense to pay attention to the dates :hitwall:

Nor-Cal, here's wishing you the best. OohRah!
