I always fear being t-boned by a red-light runner when driving through an intersection. Always be aware of your environment as a pedestrian too...

How do you survive something like that? It looked like he got smashed like an accordian.

The part of the vehicle that was crushed in due to impact is the section that rolled over the ped. So, he was knocked down but not crushed. I didn't say that he was in great shape after the crash, I just said that he survived.
