I don't know if any of you have been to the Colorado State Patrols website but they have a great feature called the cadet scrapbook which is updated everyweek. This gives the applicant an inside look of what to expect. It would be great if the CHP did this. Here is a link directly to the scrapbook..... http://csp.state.co.us/cadetscrapbook.cfm If you have the time check out the rest of the site(lots of good info).

(CTC I-07 Week 17) http://www.chp.ca.gov/cadet/images/ctc_I_07_wk17.jpg
CTC 1-07 Company A is formed and ready on the drill pad for the last time. We have reached another milestone in our time here at the Academy. We have grown not only as individuals but have learned to work together as a team in all aspects of our training. We are now transitioning into a new phase of our training and will begin practicing for our own graduation ceremony. "I came to the Academy with no knowledge of how to drill but with practice I have become a member of our company's fountain ceremony drill detail and admire the discipline it takes to conduct effortless drill routines from our nation's military." (Cadet Beaver)

(CTC II-07 Week 6) http://www.chp.ca.gov/cadet/images/ctc_II_07_wk6.jpg
Every class entering the Academy competes in companies for a special honor on graduation day; performing the final fountain ceremony for their class. We trained for six weeks with an intense focus, this week, in preparation for this competition; known as the "Fountain Off." When Friday arrived . . . we were ready! Boots and brass were freshly polished and at 0710 hours, the competition began. Each company in succession performed the ceremony. At the end it was announced, Company C won the honor (Company C is pictured to the left). "This week was more than just the competition. It was about honoring the sacrifices made by 211 fallen officers. I came away from this experience with a deeper respect for what we are doing here and more determination to finish."(Cadet Bertola)

Yeah, didn't see them either.

There's a column on the left-hand side of the page, it's pretty much the last line. Wow, look at how much info is on the official CHP website! Amazing what you find when you look, huh? Loving the payday calendar.

I found the blogs pretty easy & you know if I found them anyone should be able to. I also love the payday calender too STARGRL. I always enjoyed the official website before because like I said "The CHP does everything , but put up NEON signs of what to expect for basic standards." Amazing job on the new set up for the site thank you everyone for the highlight of the new blogs. Keep going strong CTC I-07.

Keep dreamin'. Don't expect the cadets to get web access any time soon. The blogs go through proper channels.

I try to keep updated with CHP and CSP scrapbooks. In the CSP I noticed cadets have FTO field day. I think it's a great idea. Does the CHP do something similar? http://csp.state.co.us/cadetscrapbookwk19.cfm

Nothing like what is shown in those pictures. There is one day towards the end of the academy where the cadets are able to go to their future offices and do a ride-a-long, but most likely will not be riding with one of their future FTO's. That's how it ends up in my area, anyway.

Any chance the CHP would post their first day pics when the cadets are still wearing civs? Wouldn't think so but here is what the Colorado State Patrol does on their first day. http://csp.state.co.us/images/academy/2008-1/week1/ssweek1.pdf
