Just for fun I thought I'd post the link to the hotel chain I work for. Anyone ever down my way looking for a place to stay give me a call. http://www.ayreshotels.com/hawthorne/

Wow SB. Swank place, to say the least. I bet you're proud. You know what would be fun? A forum gathering sometime late next year. Just a weekend when we could all meet in person, meet family members, etc. I've heard about forums having convention-like meetings. Wouldn't it be fun to do so at your hotel? Something to consider.

I was kinda' thinking the same thing myself. It would give us something to put in the announcement section if nothing else. The hotel would be cool, although that would be an awfully long trip for Mentor.

Well, here's my current place of employ: www.kirigincellars.com. (in severe need of updating, but I don't do the website) There's lots of hotels...but can anyone beat the only dedicated cricket field in the USA? (no, not the bug, the sport!)
If we need a more centralized location, it's about 1/2 hour south of San Jose, and I can promise, nowhere else will you find a port with coffee & chocolate. Party? No problem, I (ahem) know the tasting room manager like I know myself! Late next year? Ooh, sorry, hope to be in the academy or on break-in by then!

Hey pupdog, your dream of the Whites and Mt. Whitney could come true, I noticed there was a transfer out of Lone Pine. The transfer could open a spot for a Officer right out of the Academy sometime late next year.

I have done a fourm YM and DW mentioned. It was a great deal of fun for all of us, and we all headed to Vegas for it. It was a great time to put a name with a face but like pupdog said, I hope to be in break in about that time  ( Pupdog, I will reply this weekend.)

Thank's Mentor...Yeah everybody that comes into the place for the first time comments about how nice it is. Getting together at some point would be fun so we could all put faces with the names. The more people we get together the better rate I could work out with our GM (sorry guys but I'm only middle management and don't have the final say)

A forum meet would be interesting. I have a feeling I'd be buying quite a few beverages in exchange for stories and advice.

Are your really sure you want to meet forum buddies in real life? Could be very shocking!!

Actually, I think a forum meet at the hotel would be an excellent thing. I'm glad SB405 volunteered.

Here is where I work. Been here almost two years... How time flies.

http://www.tomshardware.com

Despite it's Home Depot sounding name, it has nothing to do with lumber or plumbing and is a HUGE computer review/news empire.
