Credit Check

Hello,

A friend and I are going to apply, but I recently heard that there is a credit check. We both dont have good credit, like things in debt consolidation.

1. So my question is how much does the credit check effect the application process?

2. Is there a certain amount of debt that automatically disqualifies you?

I recently went to a seminar, and the officers there said they don't go by how much you are in debt but things like: making payments, justification for being in debt (IE, are you trying to afford to live? or are you just blowing money away on new car, boat, toys, etc) and a couple other things.
