How can anyone have an opinion without all of the facts, although some will.

Well, I certainly didn't see any brutality. If anything, the Officer used considerable restraint. Who raised these imbiciles to think they could follow after that Officer and challenge him in such a manner as well as disregard his orders and run away. Also, who deemed that Officer's actions as abusive (I didn't see one kid injured at all.....no baton strikes, pepper spray, fist in the mouth....nothing). Those skateboards they are carrying could certainly be viewed as potential weapons, especially since the cop was outnumbered most of the time.

The issue is not skateboarding, it is complete disregard for the law. The secreted camera is very telling as is the kid's smile (the one in the white t-shirt) at the end of the video. Hmmmm, what can we do today? Hey, I know....let's screw with the Cops who won't let us skateboard wherever we want . This is what happens when the Cops are forced to educate stupid kids whose parents have failed to instill any discipline or respect.

I played that video from AOL,

I couldn't tell jacks*** from it. I have seen similar behavior from some like minded kids skateboarding in the area I am working right now. they were downright challenging and obnoxious when they are in a group like that. All that I can say is, "schools out, so you might as well prepare for more".

If you OBEY THE LAW and BEHAVE, you probably won't get your ass arrested!!!

If you resist, run, or interfere when you or someone with you is getting arrested...Stuff will happen to you!!!

The Officer appeared to show excellent restraint in the face of disrespectful and just plain stupid kids!!:tape:

You can have an opinion on what you see without having to try and decipher what happened before or after the video was shot. And from what was shown i think the officer did a good job of keeping all of them in a decent state of control most of the time.

Won't excessive force still be an issue?

The court might still weigh the response against the initial threat to the public overall, and say that the officer responded to harshly to the, probably misdemeanor offense, of kids skateboarding. Aren't they doing that in cases of pursuits these days?
Like I said before though; I can't tell squat from that cell phone recording
