So I just got my Official Invite for the 6/2 written, interestingly enough it'll be held about 4 blocks east of where I used to work. Anyone else get theirs for this written? Not sure many border applicants idle this forum.
Anywhom, see you guys there.

Umm, unless something has drastically changed since I took the written, you'll be done in an hour or so. I drove back to my parents house after I was done (which was an hour away from the testing site) and was home before noon.

I hope that's the case, but it'll be a long day for me because I'll be up early.

So I took the Mass Civil Exam today, it was quite an experience. There were about 500 people there (if not more). The exam seemed "easy" (for lack of a better word), but then again I've been studying for months. Now I wait, we'll see what happens. Now for the CHP written...

Alright, so I'm off to San Diego in about five hours. Hopefully I can get enough sleep before the Written on Saturday.
Good luck everyone!

Okay... Wow. I gotta say this test was nothing like the one I took for Civil Service in Mass, this was definitely more challenging, but I like that. The recruiters were very professional and I was very impressed with their genuine interest in getting us through the entire process. They gave us so much information I swear my head is gonna explode. As soon as I get back I gotta get rolling on all my paper work. Phew what a day.
If this one made your head swim, get a life vest before you head to the PAT.

Fellow forum members, regarding paperwork that is due for the CHP at the physical. We need to bring a "Personal History Statement" that is notorized. In my large personal history packet, I am not sure which part of it is the "Personal History Statement." The front says form 446, and the back says form 446B. On the web-site it says form 446, but only form 446B has a notorized section. Any assistence with this would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to bring the wrong paperwork coming all the way from Vermont.
Thanks!

The PHS is the big 'ol large packet with like 30 pages, it should say Personal History Statement. the 446 and 678 are different and will be labeled as such. Are you testing out of Border Div?
The personal history statment is the large packet that you have to hand fill out. But there is a paper I believe its the 446B that has to be notorized, cant remember if its attached or a seperate piece of paper. Best thing to do is call the number they gave you and double check what you are expected to bring, but I would bring all the paper work you have in a folder, even just the letters they sent just in case you need some information off them.
Also if this is the physical abilities test, at least in Sacramento, we werent required to have this information done then (even though one of the papers said we had to have the 446 and 446b, one paper we were given said we would get it at the Written Psych). We received the PHS the following day after the PAT at the written psych and I believe we had 3 weeks to get in back in. There is a fairly large list that says you need to have your BC, DL, ML, school records highschool-college etc. And that wasnt turned in with the PHS, but when we met with our BI for the first time. There was some paper work, not the PHS, but I believe an application for employment, and driving/ arrest paper work that if I remember correctly was due at the PAT. But like I said if you got the PHS already and they told you it was due at the PAT you probably should have it done and notarized. Also you should call them and find out if you have any doubts regarding what to bring.

Hey thanks for the info! Yes I am testing out of the Border Division. So we actually have to complete that whole 30 page packet to bring to the PAT? WOW I'm going to have hand cramps from this.

If you think that's going to give you hand cramps, wait 'till the Academy.

Well, for me I have to have it by the weekend of the 23rd because I'm form out of state. Which means the PAT, Psychological Written and QAP will all be done in that order starting Saturday (Again, for me because I'm out of state) so I know that _I_ have to have it ready by that weekend. You may want to call Officer Williams or Lassig and ask 'em about your specific situation.
Personally I'm going crazy trying to fill out the PHS, couple that with the fact that (iirc) the Border Div. B.I. is out of his office.
Improvise it is!

Whether you are from out of state, out of another Division, out of the country or out of a different galaxy, everyone turns their documents in at the same time. All of the applicants will be completing the PAT, psych written and QAP in the same time period. The only preference you might get is having an early QAP to minimize your visit.

I have no reason to know the specifics on dates other than dates that relate to me, but you know better than me. All I know is that _MY_ PHS is due next weekend.
