I got the invite for the Sacramento Orientation on Sunday the 17th, but I was told that I should attend Fresno. I'm taking it the difference between the two is that Sacramento we will get to walk the academy. (It says Academy Tour on the paperwork.) And it has other cadets that are in there going to be speaking.

Which would be more beneficial? More than likely I will be going to the one in Sacramento.

it was explained to me by the recruitment officer at fresno that the fresno orientation was "really should'nt miss", as the information givin is geared more towards the incoming cadets. The sacramento orientation will have much more info for the family and wasnt as much a priority as the fresno meeting. im going to fresno by myself, sac with the wifey

I need to call the recruitment office and find out. We were told that there isn't a difference besides the tour and cadet speeches.

I would for sure go to the one on the 14th, they will go over a lot of the what to bring, what not to bring and answer a lot of questions you may have. This way you will be able to make sure you have what you need before going to the academy. If you havent been to academy before it might be useful to attend the one on Sunday as well so not to fill lost, and kind of learn your way around. The tour is fairly brief, show you where the dorm rooms are, the staff office, the classroom, mess hall, swimming pool etc. You will probably get a lot of duplicate information. One thing nice about the one on sunday is the cadets will talk with you and tell about life at the academy, without sugar coating it at all. Not sure if they are doing that for you at the one on the 14th. Those of us in Sacramento area already got a tour of the academy and heard some cadets speak, and I am still considering going to the one on Sunday as well.
