My son is currently scheduled to attend the June academy. It only seems logical that with all the stress and other issues during the 6 or so months of training that members might get sick on occasion. What is the process when academy members get sick for a day or two and are unable to complete the training for the day?
Thank you,

It depends on the severity of their illness. A couple of classes ago a majority of the cadets came down with the flu that was running rampant. Those who could hold their meal down attended the class while those too ill stayed in their rooms. I think most would agree that they would attend class unless they were deadly ill rather than risk missing important information that could cause them to fail an exam.

I got a nasty flu bug at around 0100 on a Sunday when I was there. I did what everyone else that got sick did; limp your way through the day eating Jell-O and sitting in the back of the classroom in case you need to deposit said Jell-O in a piece of porcelain. Its sounds rougher than it was, the academy has a way of inspiring you to toughen up and get through the training day, no matter what.

I caught the flu which progressed into a nasal infection and ended with pneumonia.
It sucked for about a month, but I managed to limp through classes and PT without missing out on any classes or PT.
I think we only had one classmate that was sick enough to not attend class, had some kind of stomach flu. Our class was from August to February, so for about three months, our classroom sounded like a hospital emergency room from all the coughing and nose blowing.

Don't worry , the PT staff will administer him the right dosage of muscle enhancers and body stammina with coupious amounts of motivation and ear drum softener.
