Only received a 70 on the QAP. Will I move on in the process?

I only received a 70 on the QAP. Will I move on in the process. As I heard only the 90's move on to background. If the 70's do move on, are the 90's contacted first. How long will it take for the mto contact me if ever for background.

As stated above, I've gathered that 70 is the minimum score to move on into the background process.

As for how long until a BI will contact you, my best guess based on reading a lot of posts on this forum is that it could range from a few days to a few months. There was an applicant who got the conditional offer of employment very close to when I did several months ago, and I've noticed that he's already had his background investigation completed.

I've just been contacted by a BI fairly recently, and have yet to have my initial interview. It probably varies from division to division, but that's nothing more than my supposition based on following other applicants process through this site.

My best advice as a fellow applicant is to focus on getting in the best physical shape possible and to live your life as if the CHP process were the furthest thing from your mind (which of course, it's not for any of us!). Your BI will call you when he calls you.
