On behalf of my husband & our family THANK YOU for the CONGRATULATIONS. Watching the CTC I-07 Cadets being called Officers today was awesome. My husband & I can't believe that I got to pin that badge on him today. To my husband now a CHP OFFICER & the fellow Officer graduates of CTC I-07 (especially his roomies) you all did amazing today. I felt nothing , but chills when the words CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL were said & the new officers responded w/ a big OOH RAH!!! Break in is sure to put to practice what they all have learned & wish you all the best. I recommend to a future spouse/s.o attend all you can during graduation week. I did & enjoyed every minute of it. Capital run, Grad party, Spousal panel, & of course the GRADUATION!! I'm still in disbelief about the whole day being here!!!

+1, x2, etc.

Thanks for all the well wishes, and congrats to my new Officer husband and all his fellow new Officers! It's pretty cool seeing the status' changed to 'Verified Chippie' for the graduates. I'm just getting time to come up for a breath of air, the last week has been a whirlwind! The Academy sure sped up after we got our assignment, and the last month passed in the blink of an eye (sprinting by while running in place, of course). The support here has been invaluable, I know others go through the process without it but I am so grateful that we found this board. I made some great friends here, and I have to say if you go to the Capitol Run make sure you bring a fun gal like Rayni with you! I was so proud to see my husband march out in his uniform, but watching the soon-to-be-officers run out of the Academy grounds with the Juniors cheering them on was a once in a lifetime experience!

Best wishes to the cadets in II-07, keep standing strong, you are almost there! And to the III-07 class, I wanted to let you know that every one of the I-07 cadets who got together the night before the Academy for dinner graduated together. TOGETHER you will get through this! Wives & SO's, I know how tough it is, but the end result is beyond worth the hardship of the Academy. I look forward to the day after break-in, and even more to the day after probation, but I know we'll get there the same way we got to Grad Day: one week at a time!

Thanks so much to the officers who have helped out with information and support, it means a lot to me that you take time out of your busy day to help us newbies with all of our questions; even though you probably see the same questions over and over, you have always been kind and helpful and I appreciate it.

P.S. Mom, were you at Graduation? Are you on the spouse panel? Jes' curious...

Congrats to all of those who made it!!! You have come a long way and you should be VERY proud of yourselves.
Remember you still have break-in, BUT you have all of the tools that you need. NEVER be afraid to ask for help you will need it and we will be willing to provide it.

Again Congrats to all of my new brothers and sisters!!!

P.S. Mom, were you at Graduation? Are you on the spouse panel? Jes' curious... :cool:No, didnt get to go. We have a HUGE family, and with the limits, its just not possible. Interesting point, I may not even get to be there for my son! (Will watch from the alternate area though, I have first dibs there...) Depends on if they increase the number of tickets available, doubt they will though...

Rayni, Congratulations to both you and your husband. Now stay here and help others through the process. Let's keep building on this great site. I have always enjoyed your posts and the fact that you have a level head and something to say, has been evident throughout.
Thanks RETCHP for the compliment, but level headed? hm mm... Stargrl might have something to say about that. j/k

I can't express that once in a lifetime experience , but STARGRL & I will be able to laugh a lifetime about our adventure on CAPITAL RUN day. I'm glad I dragged my butt up at 2:30 in the morn to get ready for a fun morning w/ my like wise fun gal STARGRL. Watching our husband's little smile when they realized the 2 crazies acting like the paparrazi where their wives was AWESOME.

On the support of this forum I'm in complete agreement of how invaluable it has been. For the future graduates KEEP MOTIVATED, DEDICATED, & OOH RAH!!

Congratulations to all of you new officers. Rest up this week and get ready to begin one of the most rewarding and fun careers you could ever hope for. And special congrats to the 5 of you that are coming to my office, I really appreciate all of you making it:biggrin::biggrin:. But like my classmate said above, do not be afraid to ask questions. You are now stepping out of a controlled environment and into the real world, were actually have to watch oncoming traffic rather then pretend like in the academy.

You have got what it takes to be a CHP officer that has been proven thus far. Now you just have to show that you can use what you have learned in the real world. But the most important thing is to stay safe out there. Break in is very stressful, trust me I only got off break in about 4 months ago, but it is not impossible. Take everything your FTO says to heart and learn.

Welcome brothers and sisters, stay safe and have fun.

And for those of you who are coming to SFS: 650 and 21 are the best:shock:

I am so proud of you guys. That has to be so rewarding knowing that you made it through. I can only imagine how making that capitol run and having that badge pinned on your chest, would be one of the most rewarding things you have ever done. You have already beaten the odds. You are the elite chosen shepards. I hope that one day soon, I will have the strength and fortitude that you all have been proven to posess, and to join the brotherhood. Stay safe out there guys.
