I’m from the Inland division and about to start the background process, my question is where or how you go about obtaining the Employment Development Department Work History? Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks for any help in advance!

1. Go online and look it up, there's a site you can request it to be sent to you. Give plenty of time cause it could take awhile. Make sure to get it before your interview with the BI.

2. You get an application at your local chp office or request one online.www.chp.ca.gov. Its short. Once you fill that out and get your written date, you will get your PHS background papers at the test.

Best of luck

Just go to your local social security administration office and request one. It costs $35.00 and they should have ready in about 5 mins. Make sure you pay with a money order. Oh, make sure you request the 10 year history report. Good luck.

not to nitpick, but thats the social security work history, the edd work history is a different item. if you do a search for 'employment development work history' on these forums you'll find a post by someone with a fax number and the info to fax. do that now because it'll take at least 5 weeks to get to you.

No problem! Thanks for pointing that out. I don't recall seeing the EDD history on my papers so I'll check it out first thing. Almost done with my documentation.

Why does it have to be paid with a Money Order? My SSA Branch takes checks and CC.

Flashback! Scratch the money order part. I didn't have my checks with me that day and they don't accept cash. Had to run to Lucky's and buy a money order that day.

Hey Everyone,
I just finished the PAT on 03-24-07. While there, a fellow tester had a flier with the number to call for a EDD work history statement. He stated once you call, EDD will mail you a copy in a few days.

THE FLIER READS:

"You may call from HOME by dialing 1-800-300-5616 as soon as the recording STARTS. PRESS numbers 1-4-0 on key pad if the maximum number of callers have been reached. HANG UP< REDIAL AND REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT.....

UNTIL YOU HEAR YOU WILL BE SERVED IN 2-7 MINUTES."

I am still repeating.... He also stated it may take several times of this process before you actually get through, but stay the course and you'll get through..... Good Luck
