Anyone here taking the test this Saturday?

I'll be there atleast 30 minutes early. If anyone wants to grab a cup of coffee before the test, let me know.

Good luck to everyone!!

I took the test with you i guess. I had the Female Officer. Hope you did well on it, i found it tricky in some parts. Hopefully i'll see you at the PAT.

I hope you did well!!

I took the test in the other room. I had trouble with the fill in the blanks section. It really sucks that I didn't do better in that section because in the practice exams I took, I would only miss 1 or 2 at the most.

Let me know how you did when you get your results.

Good luck in the rest of the process.

You guys do your PAT and Psych on different days, huh? We did both on one day. Turned out to be a long day, but was glad to have it all done right away.

Micah,
What was your take on the PAT. I've heard its cake, and when i read it i think "Wow that's going to be just to easy" but now when i read some of this, i think to myself, maybe this isn't going to be so easy.

My personal opinion, is that anyone who is in any bit of shape can pass all elements of this test, without any problems. It is not hard; if my memory serves me correctly, we only had 1 person fail (out of 48, I think) and that was in the 500 yard run. We had a couple drill instructors show up and they made it clear that the PAT is a joke and don't think that if you pass it, you will be fine for the Academy.

Just keep running and doing your calisthenics and you will be fine. The hardest part for me is building up my stomach and upper body muscles again. I have been a long distance runner for a number of years now and can run any distance no problem, but now have to combine that with a ton of pushups, situps, leg lifts, etc. Hope to see you at the Academy.

Thanks Micah,
Ya i need to start all over again. I've been a couch potatoe for the last 3 years or so. I wrestled for about 6 years in the Bay Area and that put me in the best shape of my life. Now? HA! HA! I'm so out of shape it hurts to move. Hehe. But i used to run a lot back in my day, im sure i can put myself back up to it. I'm actually looking forward to start running again!

There is some critical thinking math skill questions (maybe 5-10 questions). If you take some of those online IQ tests, you will have a good idea of what to study for.

Wow then i guess i wasnt to far off. What gives you that impression? It is virtually impossible to determine how close you were to passing because of the very nature of the T-score. If you're alluding that your 41.5 is pretty close to Aviator22's 55.9, I suggest you spend a little more time reviewing POST's detailed information on how T-scores are derived.

Ya never mind i figured out how to calculate my score into a percent using a formula. Thanks for the information and help dw.
