Hey all,
Does anyone have a decent CVC Cheat Sheet they would care to share? Either by scanning it in and e-mailing it to me… or if it is an Excel, Word, PowerPoint file, etc. then e-mailing that to me?
PM me if you are interested, and I can give you my personal or my department e-mail address.
Thanks and be safe,
JoeyMac
I sent you mine -- use at your own risk.

Can you hook me up with it too?
Funny thing I rolled on a white acura for tailgating me on SR-99 while I was going home Friday night. I let him pass and got behind, flipped the lights on and wrote a cite. Unfortunately I'm with CDF - OSFM so we don't really have training or material for citing traffic.

Those can be found here if you don't already have a 10-code list (http://www.chpforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4), but not a bad idea if it could be added to the Library?

"Cheat Sheets" are kinda' a personal thing -- there are many variations out there and everyone does their own thing; not something we really want to post for everyone.
The LawTech Qwik-Code (http://www.lawtech-pub.com/) guide is similar to our issued reference guide and would probably be the best summary of practical vehicle code sections for someone interested.

While we are on the subject DW. Does the academy issue out C.V.C and P.C. books to the cadets? So if I buy a current copy of each that would be a poor financial decision on my part?

CVC and PC are issued to you, (paid for with your money).

So it would be a better financial decision to buy them then they tell/yell you to.

Vehicle Code is provided free of charge every year. Penal Code is bought on your own dime with the initial Academy supplies.

CAL Fire, formerly, California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection aka "CDF" is now the parent organization of the Office of the State Fire Marshal. They merged several years ago.
CAL FIRE has sworn peace officers that complete a POST certified LE academy, carry guns, arrest people and have FULL peace officer powers just like PD, SO, CHP. their primary duties are to investigate fires within their respective jurisdiction, do pre-employment backgrounds, internal investigations and handle all types of criminal investigations within their organization.

CAL FIRE has been CAL FIRE for about a month now. The vehicle emblems will be phased out in time, and they are still finalizing the uniform patch design but it is expected to be done before December.
