POST Score Question?

This question my have been asked before, but when I searched I could not find anything.

If I pass the POST written test with a local PD, will the CHP accept it since it is a POST test?

Nope. We have no lateral program whatsoever. You have to compete for a spot at the Academy through the same process from start to finish. Besides, CHP cadets take POST exams throughout their training, a POST mid-term, and the POST final. The POST exam you took for a PD has nothing to do with hiring on the CHP. And you'd have to take all of the POST exams while in the Academy.

Sorry, but NO! The CHP complies with the training requirements as outline by P.O.S.T., but, accepting P.O.S.T. challenge exams is not recognised as yet. That would be akin to a lateral transfer and the CHP does not do that either. Every candidate must pass the CHP exam and, if successful, attend the academy.
