9am??? Mine is at 0730...Others have said 0800. I wonder if they are breaking us up into groups. Either way, you are definately a lucky man to live only 10 min away. I live 10 hours away...hahhaha

Are you going to attend the QAP workshop?

Sorry...can't say. I risk someone putting 2 and 2 together and figuring out who I am.

Excellent point. Well....I stand by everything I have ever posted here

KingTriton: the process has been streamlined. We don't get the PHS at written anymore, we get it at either the PAT or Psych Written (cannot remember which). This information come direct from recruitment. Who also said to start gathering all the info for it....

I remember them stating that there are two forms to pick up when we leave. They were the STD 678 and CHP 446f. I got those. However, in my letter it says I need to report to the PAT with my CHP 446 PHS...So now I am totally confused.

Anyone have an abolute answer on this? Thanks

Few words of advice...

- Do a ride-along before your QAP
- Always be 20-30 minutes early...to everything
- Do an extensive background check on yourself before you have one done on you
- Then be completely honest from day one on, if your not it will come out in the truth verification (lie-detector test)
- Besides the fact that you shouldn't be in law enforcement if your not willing to be honest
- No matter how small you THINK something is or not important you think it is, report it
- Attend the QAP workshop and take notes
- Get off the couch and run/do sit-ups/push-ups/pull-ups/crunches
- The process is long and you will have times of long waiting, be patient
- The CHP sends you a lot of literature during the hiring process, read it all, it will answer most of your questions
- Get your family on board with your applying to the CHP, you'll need their support when you get to the academy

Just some things I've learned along the way, I'm still learning.
