I rode in ELA from 1985 to 1991. Got an '84 Harley to start with. When I ran that out, I got a new KZ, rode it from motor transport to the office, and traded with the motor sergeant and took his Harley. The KZ's were faster, but the Harley was a much smoother ride.

Damn,

I guess I am getting old. I remember you in a car (I could never get more 10851's then you in a year) but I don't remember you on a motor before I left. I left ELA in 87 (transferred into ELA in 81 from Santa Ana).

I work for an exotic car dealership and one of our rep's worked for Ferrari back in 85 when they were in Southern Cal.
Story goes, that a CHP officer kept swinging by FNA (ferrari north america) and checking out cars as he had an Alfa or Fiat. Well, one day Ferrari SpA(Italy) sent the 412 F1 car pictured over to FNA for promotional use. So, they pushed the car out onto the street, took a few shots and then made duplicates. The picture below ended up all the way back in Italy on the wall of Enzo Ferrari's hallway to his office. The officer who was in the picture (no longer in the dept. from what I know) ended up blowing up the shot and making a poster out of it. I just got the poster and just had to share it!

I might be able to get more copies, as my Lambo rep may have a few more. Anyone interested, PM me.

I miss my Harley!

Did you get on motors in ELA?

That looks like the same year Harley I rode while I was there.

Yes, 10851's were my thing. When I went to motor school in October of '85, I already had over 100 recoveries for that year. After I went to motors, I never had those kind of numbers again. Sorry, but I don't remember who you are. Did we ever work together?
