I have come across a television show on the Discovery Times Channel that I think every CHP officer or want to be officer should watch if they can get it in the area they live in. It is called "Accident Investigator".
Lots of good AI information can be gleaned as well as watching officers and experts work crashes.
If you are new to this just know that the amount of energy expended in the investigations on the show is not typically what you will do on every crash. Too time consuming, not necessary etc. But the techniques used are used in every investigation to one degree or another.

Just set the TiVo (http://times.discovery.com/tvlistings/episode.jsp?episode=2&cpi=111233&gid=0&channel=DHC) since I will be in Miami for CrashCar (NASCAR) Thanks for the heads up.

bc when redhead used the term "CRASHCAR" that should have been your hint that he's not a fan of the series. But I'll answer your question and say Tony Stewart. He only needs to finish 8th or better to win the championship. I enjoy all motorsports.

OK!!!!!!!...I like the "New" Tony Stewart, nice and not a jerk, but..... If Carl Edwards could pull it off, I would be thrilled!!!!

I watched that show last week. It was a little corny but the info was interesting. There was a segment that had similarities to a case I have been working for about a year and a half.
I've done four search warrants for evidence including DNA, finger prints, blood and hair samples, and a few other things. The MAIT team did an occupant kinematics and a few other things. I am waiting for the powers above to approve it so I can present it to the DA for two counts of 187 or 191.5 (his choice).
The total report package ended up being over 1400 pages.
