I have been an MCS 1 and CVIS, both great jobs with a great dept. I enjoy being an MCS because with a cooperative terminal I can spend the time to teach if they have minor problems. It is technically challenging and rewarding to be out in the field on your own.

CVIS and MCS are civilian positions with the department bcjack. Sorry no one responded to your ques earlier. They both work in and around the commercial truck scales. They are involved in the inspection and regulatory side of the trucking industry. They are technical and safety experts.
Both positions work closely with uniformed officers to enforce commercial and safety regulations.
