Congrats! What was your score? Did you get the commitment to hire? Thats what you need to move on to backgrounds.

Congrats! When I saw my letter today I knew there might be a flurry of posts on the forum regarding QAP results. I was happy to get a 95 without any veterans points, so I'm excited. I too was worried about the results of my interview as I was a little 'iffy' about how things went. Chalk that up to being nervous and honestly never really having to interview for a job before. When I sat down the SGT said "You look nervous" and I said "Yes Sir, I am a bit nervous". I figured things were not going well from the start. You never know till you get your results. I felt the same after the written.

Does'nt say committment to hire in those words, it says that I have been placed on the eligible list. It also says that I will be notified in the coming months if I have been selected to continue in the Cadet, CHP, selection process. If it does'nt say committment to hire, did I not get in? If so what do I do to find out why?
Now I'm worried

Edit* The way I read it from a post by Hippiechip, is I should be recieving a second letter for conditional hire. I recieved a score of 95, so I'm sure that that's no biggie.

Im on the same boat, I did not feel confident at all in how my oral went! sucks becasue I prepared over and over, and the pressure of being the job one really wants increases the nervousness......how long did it take to receive the scores? did it actually take the 6 weeks?

Mine just came. I got an 80, frustrating that I scored this low but from what I understand an 80 moves forward. It took 2 weeks exactly to get my results in, and I know from another applicant couple weeks ago it took 2 weeks for him/her as well. Good Luck!

After the QAP the next step is to meet with your BI correct?

Whats the "average" time from passing the QAP to meeting with your BI? I know it's a loaded question but just curious.

Times vary for when you'll be hearing from a BI. If you have read some of the other topics then you'll know now is the time to get ALL of your required documents together. Don't wait until your asked for them. And, just so you all understand your on the same playing field....Some people interview (or lie) better than others. That doesn't necessarily make them a better officer, so don't beat yourselves up if one guy got a 95 and you only got an 80. There are lots of applicants that got high QAP scores that didn't make it through the background phase, so... DON'T GET COCKY.

All I can say about my experience is just be yourself. I read in an old post that being yourself is what they want and as they said in that post, and I thought about the whole time before going in there, they are'nt looking for someone perfect, because no one is...they're looking for a diamond in the rough so just relax and just answer honestly and be confident in how you answer
