Cut off date for December academy

Does anyone out there have the cutoff date to get an invitation to the Dec 11th class? I'm cutting it close with my psych eval and I was just wondering if I still had a shot. I have passed everything else.

I was told by my BI that for Valley Div it is one month prior - so Nov 11 - and that the invites just went out last Friday so the chances of getting in Dec's academy having not completed your Pscyh is slim. keep in mind, however, that they could still invite people up to the last couple of days prior so you never know. You can perform a search of topics and find additional information...

I would really hate to burn my current employer with short notice. I've worked for them for 6 years now. I still would burn them if I got an invite thou....I'd just hate to burn them. On the bright site if I get pushed to the next academy, CTC I-07 starts on 4/2/07 so there should be no lame Arpil Fools jokes from the academy instructors...since I'm sure they are full of them.

CTC III-06 all got invites with plenty of notice. I seem to recall a discussion in these parts prior to my starting that the department was aiming to give more notice so cadets could have a better shot at getting their affairs in order and hopefully reducing the amount who quit early. If that's the reason, did it work? 7 weeks in and 89% are still there, is that good? And YES, those invites did in fact go out much earlier than with previous classes. In one of those early 'classes' where we were all in the gym instead of split into our classrooms, a show of hands was asked for in regards to who had x amount of notice...I don't think anyone had under a month!

Had my interview three weeks and two days ago......if I wasn't crazy then, I sure am getting there......checking the mail twice a day, etc......

I'm still waiting on the state to call me about a psych interview. I must check my phone every 15 minutes, but no missed call :cry: I'm just looking forward to the April academy now.

Hey guys - I've been reading posts for the last couple weeks to get an understanding of what my husband will, "hopefully" be going through! He is waiting for his psych appointment too! He was told that December was the target, however, with psych backed up, my "gut" tells me it's going to be April.

I got called for my psych on a Sunday afternoon. I didn't think the state worked on Sunday. I asked the woman on the phone if she was serious because I thought somebody was playing a joke on me. I had my interview Wed. Nov 15, 06. Reading these post, I don't think I'll make it for Dec. I guess I'll have plenty of time to become a P.T. machine:mad:

Looks like the same woman called us both because I too received a call on a Sunday afternoon regarding my psych. Had my interview on 11/17. Hopefully we'll meet in April

I called today to see when the Dec academy orientation was going to be for Golden Gate division and i was told there was no date set yet because they are still inviting applicants to the Dec academy. There still is hope for those trying to make the Dec academy. Hope this helps!!

I am in the Border Division and I just received my envelope this morning for the Dec. 11 academy.

I had my PAT and QAP in June 06

Psych in Nov 06.
