New Assignment/Moving [Archive]

Good morning,

I was wondering how much time a new officer has from the time he graduates from the academy to the the he first reports to his new duty station? I assume they are given enough time to find a new place to live and move....

10 days between graduation and reporting. Graduate on a Friday and report on the second Monday. But, cadets learn of their assignments about 1 month before graduation so they have that time to make new housing arrangments. During that 10 day transition you burn up cto that you have earned while at the Academy.

Close - it's "Compensatory Time Off"......overtime which you get as usable leave time instead of actual pay ($$$).
