Lots and lots of Chargers this year. The police vehicle seminar with Chrysler, GM and Ford reps was pretty dull. Lots of grumbling about the lack of passenger side keyholes and having to use keyfobs. Plenty of Ford jokes in the audience, too.

07 will have the introduction of a pursuit rated Tahoe for the first time in addition to a 4WD SSV. The Tahoe will have newer larger wheels and tires which are not compatible with 06 and earlier models.

Nothing really new for the CV that I can remember except the camel tan will become a darker camel tan. The rep kept reiterating the market dominance of the CV and that Ford is committed to staying in the Police market, which was represented by moving Towncar production to STAP.

Seems most of the audience interest was focused on Chrysler. Setina developed a new cage for the Chargers that have a vecroed on side divider that blows out when the curtain airbags deploy. It's only a fluid barrier. Needless to say, cuffing prisoners is a necessity.

And the pics.

Like the shots of the SRT since I'm thinking of buying one. Just not sure if I want such a big vehicle.

Nice pictures, thanks.

You know looking at these chargers more and more, I think I prefer the look of the Crown Vic as a patrol vehicle.

Big :confused::

They really aren't that big. I felt cramped compared to my fullsize Chevy's, and it gets even worse when upfitted with a console, computer and cage.

They are fast, though. I drove an R/T and it hauls...I can only imagine what the SRT8 feels like.
