I heard that you can turn down two academy offers, then you would have to reapply. Is that true? Just curiuos because I am currently overseas and won't be back to Cali for two more years. Also, is there a time span between offers? Thank you in advance.....

Have you gone through the entire application process? Academy classes usually start every three months, so two offers would usually span approximately six months. If you won't be back in the country, you can retest when you return (as long as your not over the age limit.) Being out of the counrty will probably cause your background to take longer due to having to check your over sea work history and residence history. You might want to consider keeping accurate records (include phone numbers and addresses) while out of the counrty. Such as, every address where you lived, every location you worked, every supervisors name, every co-workers name (at least those you worked directly with) and maybe even a list (addresses and phone numbers) of local police stations or departments.) BTW, getting good contact telephone numbers and addresses (in the USA) for your supervisors and co-workers would be helpful when your BI needs to verify your work history. BTW, where are you going for two years?

Are you there for military reasons?
