C'mon now, 1 week ago. Your case probably hasn't even been assigned yet. Patience, patience, patience.

LOL! I think most of the 2004 applicants, who didn't score 95 at the QAP, are still cruising in the holding position. Anyone from the 2004 cycle make it to backgrounds yet?

Snowdog ;

I am going to have to set your computer up with "quick-keys" -- you will be able to save a set of paragraph responses for the most frequently asked questions, and just hit a series of keys to auto-insert them. (ie. Shift + 1) This will save your finger dexterity for the repeat offenders :smile:

Hey, it's understandable! The guy is anxious to do PT: :smile: Look, just because some guy waited four or five months before he got his background done doesn't make him an expert on the subject! Most of the Divisions HAVE completed (or are working on) the 80/85's from past lists. The real facts are depending on case load (can you say disclaimer?) most of the Divisions are completing all of their backgrounds in their current test cycle. Which means if you have tested and PAT'd in the past month or so you should have your background started within a month or so. Understand, each individual background is different. Where one might take a week, another might take two, three or four weeks. It all depends on how much work is involved. And, believe it or not, sometimes it takes more work to DQ an applicant than it does to pass an applicant. That being said, the BI's on this Department are thorough and produce a good product for the Department and the State Personel Board. The days of waiting one or two years to get through the process are currently behind us. Keep your chin up, have ALL of your paperwork in order (read, have everything your BI will need ready now!) and start your PT program if you haven't, because no matter how good of shape you think your in, it won't be nearly enough for your first day of PT.

All of our 80's in our Division have been assigned and a vast majority of them are complete and on to HQ. I know I just finished my last 80 last night.
Just as an example, in the past month I completed 4 cases in the past month that took less than 2 weeks each, one of those only took 1 week, and one case that took almost 3 months. The 3 month had 2 partials from other Divisions and alot of foot work to resolve some sticky issues.
As has been said many times before, everyone is different and will take a different amount of time. And, although you have not been contacted there is still work being done on your case so just sit tight and we'll get to you as soon as we can.

Although, I've read it over and over- Each applicant is unique in there BI, I dont know if some one can relate to my background.
I lived out of the country for about 3 years, ofcourse I was underaged and did not have a option to say NO (Parents decision). Of course this was about 4 years ago. Will this cause hold- ups with a BI?

Onces again, Each applicant is unique. Can any one relate to this?

Thankz.
Appreciate your feedback!
