Just got the invite today, tommorow would have marked 3 weeks exactly! Less than 2 months to go!

How did it come to you? I've heard things like "found my invitation on the doorstep," or "overnight mail," but I haven't heard anything about regular mail (except the thin envelope). Just wondering what we should be looking for.... thanks.

I receieved my invite in first class mail( Cadet Hiring Unit). Others that are cutting it closer to the academy i believe will recieve a phone call from the Cadet Hiring Unit.

I doubt anyone can answer that one for you since no two backgrounds are alike. However, if you do some searching around on this board you will find a few stories about people receiving calls a couple of days before and after the academy starts. Keep your fingers crossed, and best of luck! :smile:

In theory, the cut off for invitations will be 30-days prior to the class. That would mean you need to be cleared backgrounds and into medical/psych at least 3-4 weeks before that 30-day cutoff.

That said, if the class is not full, invitations will continue to out past the "deadline."

I have yet to see anything in writing, but I would expect it to be the first Monday in April, 2007.

I am quite certain that the QUOTE from dw that YOU posted pretty well answers the question you asked. Come on......I don't mean to be sarcastic, but you need to read what you read! If you don't, you will never make it through the academy - if you do get an appointment.

Curious, as to what is considered to be a "full class"? I've read articles of a graduating class of 57, and the most recent class of 180 enrolled...quite a large range. Is there a minimum number of cadets that the academy shoots for?

It varies according to our current hiring allocation. Right now the target is 180 cadets per class.

Be patient. A lot of factors goes into how long it takes to get scheduled. Mine was around 4 weeks so expect a call soon. Do a search for more info

I got my letter 13 days before the start date of the Dec. 11 academy. About 3 weeks after Psych.

The delivery guy just dropped the packet on my doorstep. I live in an apartment complex, is it normal for them to just leave it outside where anyone can take it.

Oh well. I got it, not them
