Hey! was anyone here involved in the motorcyle pursuit in Fresno on 11-04 where the Sheriff's helicopter assisted? I was the observer in the helicopter. Just curious. I heard you guys had been after that dude for months. The article said speeds exceeding 90 mph! YEAH RIGHT! That guy was doing close to 140 mph on the 180 freeway! Of course, nothing mentioned about the helo! Oh well......

Did I mention one in custody and a 10851 motorcycle!

Hey Eagle, I wasn't there but I know the guys who were, I'll try to get some info and pass it on. Thanks for covering for us.

This post reminds me of a motorcycle pursuit I watched on TV here in LA a few years. CHP was chasing this guy on the frwy. at approx. 100mph. This dude was darting in and out of cars so fast even though Officers gave him plenty of room he still wouldn't ease up on the speed. After about a 30 minute run on the freeway he exited on this long sweeping off ramp which caused him to slow up a bit (not much) and as he tried to blow through the intersestion at the end of the ramp he ended up going head first into side of a city bus.

Talked to a couple of the guys today that were in the pursuit. They said it was pretty intense, and that you guys did a really good job. That was me that called you guys on the air to air freq, I wish we had some night fighting gear on the fixed wing. My FO and I got into a black and white and responded to the residence on Shields Ave, but unfortunately, he kept on going downtown. Anyway, good job and thanks for the help. Come over to the hangar this next week and I will give you more details. Was sill the pilot?

Cool..that was a good time. Chris was flying....he had the bird laying on its side a few times when that idiot turned underneath us. I think I have some stretch marks from the G's! There was a couple of times I was watching the guy through the top of the canopy we were banked so hard. Nothin' like the MD500!

I was working at the hospital when that guy tried to "blend in" on the tenth floor. He was running so fast he ran into the sliding glass door, too bad he had his helmet on still. If security hadnt chased him up there they wouldve locked the place down and done a room to room search, that wouldve been fun. I stopped recieving subpeonas on that so maybe he took a deal.

Yeah....I heard he took a deal. It was pretty frustrating watching that guy run into the hospital while orbiting at 500 ft! That dude had a death wish thats for sure. Im sure we'll be chasing him again in about 16 months!
