10 things to bring

Ok i have done searches in this forum and looked and past posts and even emailed a couple people, whom of which i probably didnt give enough time to respond, but I need to see if anyone has that list of ten things to bring to your first interview with a BI....i have it all tucked away, I just want to make sure its all there.

can anyone help out?? My meeting is Friday Morning.

Bring everything they asked for. I brought a pen and paper to take notes of further instructions. I brought along my copies of my documents that I felt I needed. Dress nice. Just follow the instructions you have already. Be honest and you won't have to remember anything. Good Luck.

K i found it....it was in the study guide that you download off the internet on chp.ca.gov

Applicants are required to show the following documents, and provide a photocopy of each, at the initial interview:
? Valid Driver License
? Birth Certificate
? Verification of Education (high school diploma, college degree, GED certificate)
? High School Transcripts
? College or University Transcripts (sealed, official copies)
? Marriage Certificate
? Marriage Dissolution Documents
? Vehicle Insurance Policies
? Military Service Certificate (discharge documents [DD214], commendations, etc.)
? Social Security Card
? Proof of legal U.S. residency (birth certificate, naturalization papers)

chico.medic: My husband got his call from his BI to schedule their initial meeting about 6 weeks after hand-delivering his PHS. Like you, he scored a 95, and even bought the lettering template! After his initial interview, he completed all other parts of the process within the next 6 weeks (with the SMALL, rather unrealistic, possibility of making the September academy). Now he's working out like crazy as we wait to hear about the December academy. Best of luck to you.

It's weird...I just was interviewed by a BI two days ago, not for me, but for someone that was on deployment with us last cycle and is now tryinng to be a sherrif...the questions I was asked were very weird lol...

Hey...lets see...they called me on tuesday of this week....soooo the 26th.

My husband also went all over looking for one (office supply stores, school supply stores, stationary shops, etc.), and he ended up finding one at the local community college bookstore. If there's a police academy near you, that may be a good place to find one (our local community college has one).

Neither... It is essentially random -- based on geography more than anything else.
