TERREL OWENS ATTEMPTS SUICIDE

DALLAS (AP) -- Flamboyant Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens tried to kill himself by overdosing on pain medication, even putting two more pills into his mouth after a friend intervened, according to a police report obtained Wednesday.

The report said Owens was asked by rescue workers "if he was attempting to harm himself, at which time (he) stated, `Yes."'

The Dallas police report said the 32-year-old Owens told his friend "that he was depressed." Details of the police report were first reported by WFAA-TV. Police scheduled a news conference for later Wednesday morning.

The friend, who is not identified in the report, "noticed that (his) prescription pain medication was empty and observed (Owens) putting two pills in his mouth," the police report said. The friend attempted to pry them out with her fingers, then was told by Owens that before this incident he'd taken only five of the 40 pain pills in the bottle he'd emptied.

According to the police report, Dallas Fire and Rescue was called regarding someone "attempting suicide by prescription pain medication." Officers arrived to find Owens being stabilized by ambulance workers, who then took him to Baylor University Medical Center.:shock:

I really get upset to see anyone get to the point of ending thier life! You see people with all the talent in the world and don't know how to handle it, when we sit and watch them play the sport of the thier dreams wondering what it would be like to be where they are! I don not like the way Owens acts at all, but I never want to see it get to this extreme!:cry:

According to his press conference and news reports today, it was only an "unfortunate mix-up" resulting from a combination of his painkillers and the vitamins and supplements he takes.

Yeah....of course, that's all changed today. The Cowboys held a press conference this morning in which Parcells spent 20 minutes talking out both sides of his mouth and saying nothing, then Owens himself held his own press conference (of course!), in which he smiled and said it was all good.....just a mix-up, nothing to get excited about, it's all good. The PD also held a press conference, and were PISSED that details of the report were leaked to the press.

Yeah, it would probably be more football and less bullshi* on mondays. The guy has all anyone could want talent wise yet he interjects his a**h*** personality into the equation. He gets payed to play a game, man up and play the game. Don't bitch and whine cause the breaking news isn't about you. Make the news if that is what you need but do it on the field.
