is there still a dec academy scheduled? and has anybody received an acceptance letter for it yet?

I hear it is...and im shootin for it. I am getting my ducks in a row and staying on course as far as what is required of me!!!

can anyone give a confirmation of it?

Yes, there is a December academy scheduled Dec. 11th. I am also shooting for it! :biggrin:

yes im shooting for it as well. I just got done with the QAP last tuesday...hopefully Ill get in...

Is it even possible for someone who finished up their QAP last week to make it to the Dec. class?

From what I have been told it's possible....highly unlikely....but possible.

That's what I thought, too. I wonder what's the average wait time from QAP to initial interview? Someone on here said they had been waiting for something like five months before he heard anything from his BI.

I'm not expecting to hear anything anytime soon. Right now it's business as usual until I hear otherwise. Family, work, training, getting my 51 Chevy straight & keeping one eye on the mailbox.

i took my QAP back in Dec of 05, i had my initial interview a couple of weeks ago, and just recently my BI told me he was almost done with my backgrounds and is scheduling me for my CVSA within the week. it took some time and patience, but now that the ball is rollin, everything seems to be moving along quickly, almost too quickly :smile:

Mine was about 3 weeks in Golden Gate. Another 3 months until the CVSA with the final interview the following week. Who knows how long your background will take compared to somebody else though. I've had a handful of jobs in California and grew up out of state.

Like it's been said a hundred times already, make sure all your contact numbers and addresses are correct before putting them down. The more leg (and phone) work you do now means the faster the background process can go.

It takes time. I have my QAP in April, my Initial Interview in June. Since then my CVSA, Final Interview and Medical Exam just last week. I figure I will have my appointment with the Pshycologist in the next month or so and then God willing into the December 11 academy.

I am in backgrounds right now, and took the CVSA and Live Scan on Wednesday of this week. (9/20/2006). I have been told that there is a big push for BI's to have the people that are in backgrounds right now completed by the 6th of October. I will assume that means with no problems and such! Is how far I have come a good sign? I know there is still a ways to go, but am curious just the same.
