Hi!
My husand is currently in the September 18 class. Can anyone explain to me when I am able to see or talk to him? I know its a very very tough program , and I've been prepared for myself when the day comes which was September 18, however I'm thinking about him constantly. I just wanted to know if he is okay?
Any suggestions?

Hey, Flickster!
Don't worry, he's fine--probably just a little stressed out and wondering what he got himself into. In fact, he'll be going to sleep pretty soon. Anyway, don't plan on hearing from him until Friday for this first week (at least that's how it was with our class). He'll have lots to tell you about on Friday, and he'll probably enjoy hearing that you support him going through that place for 26 more weeks. You hang in there, too!

Hi Flickster. My fiance also started the Sept 18th academy. I know exactly how you feel because I am thinking of him constantly too. When we went to the orientation, they told us that he wouldn't be able to talk to us during the first week, so if you don't hear from him during this week, try not to worry. I am sure they are just fine and will have lots to tell us on Friday! Hang in there because it's all going to be worth it in the end.

The only real thing to worry about is if he comes home before Friday. You are no different from any other wife, husband or parent. Don't let on that you are so stressed, it will create alot more stress for him. It will get easier for you as time goes on.

Take snowdogs advise about not letting him now you are worried. He is definatley experience mental and physical stress, but you don't have to worry about his safety. I know if I didn't have my wife's support it would have made it impossible. If he talks about not making it, you have to support his success and possibly threaten him with changing the locks on the house if he quits, not that my wife did that or anything.
No news is very good news for the first week.

Thanks for everyone's advice. You guys are right, I have to be very supportive especially when the training is very intense. Is he allow to use cell phones at all?
Again, I really appreciate everyone's advice, and I will make sure I support him 100%. Thank you!!!

At some point, but the privilege depends on the class, it is not set in stone.
