I was wondering, is it just me or has any one else received there test results for that last examination, that took place in Orange County. Or in the past examinations, what is the usual time frame you received you result letter. Thank you!

I got mine in exactly two weeks so about two weeks...a thick envelope is good.

NeverSurrender,

As much as you might not want to hear this advice: keep waiting. There is no guarantee that because somebody else received it in two weeks, you'll get yours in the same timeframe. The CHP hires on their own timeframe; sometimes things move quickly, sometimes things lag. Just be patient and prepare yourself for the next step in whatever way(s) you can.

"California State Police Exam Preperation Guide" found on Amazon.com. Other members and officers suggested this book in recent threads. Im studying the book right now for my written coming up soon, and its a good book.

I Know, I keep asking the same question again and again, should I really just wait, or should i start calling and finding out what happen? Today is Thursday (9/14) and I received the mail for today and there was no CHP Letter, And this weekend is PAT (9/16) and Psychological Written(9/17). Worst case scenario, should i show up on the Sat. Or do nothing. That i know, we are notified if we passed or not before these dates?

Any advice or suggestions, will be appreaciated! Thank You!

I'd call- I don't think they'll let you in to the PAT without a letter.

The written examination results paper will actually tell you what dates you are scheduled for the PAT and Psych written... so what do you mean the PAT is on the 16th and Psych is 17th, sounds like you havent been scheduled for those dates unless you have the paper in you hand? Wait for your letter, youll get it! Dont call them unless its been a month or so, you need to have patience for this process. It took almost a month for me to get my letter for the initial written and in the last 3 weeks ive done the PAT, psych written AND the QAP. Good Luck!

The testing dates for the PAT, written psych, QAP, etc... are up on the CHP website. If you make it as far as backgrounds, I wouldn't call and bug a BI, but at this point I doubt it would hurt to call up a recruiter and ask. The U.S. mail isn't 100 percent reliable (they lost my PHS after I sent it in), and you wouldn't want to miss the PAT and have to wait around. Just my non-officer opinion- if one of the officers responds to this, I'd listen to him or her regarding whether or not you should call.
