What office is Simi Valley? is that Ventura or Woodland Hills?

I believe Simi is right on the border of Ventura County. I think the Woodland Hills office on DeSoto Ave. is pretty far away so the Ventura office may be closer.

Simi Valley is covered by MOORPARK. It is Ventura county. Moorpark was a satellite from that office but now on it's own.

I was doing some research and found since 1929 there have only been six years (1983-84 the only back to back years) where the CHP has not suffered at least one fatality of an Officer. Now I know and respect the fact you people lay it on the line each and every day but the number of Motor Officers killed in the early days of the CHP was amazing to me.

Is he going to be ok or is it too early to tell?

swollen ankle so they will have to xray it later to tell if its broken.

That is amazing! Was he in the car? I saw a picture of it and I can't believe he has 'just' a swollen ankle.
Stay Safe my friends.

The trailer ran over the trunk of his car. He was outside of the car by the car he had pulled over. The trailer actually hit him and knocked him approx. 50 ft.

Crap that gave me flash backs....I read the report on my husbands accident and one witness stated "at that time I saw the officer in yellow (rain gear) inverted in the air with his feet above his head"
When I got the call, I had no clue that he was outside of the car....I totally pictured that he had been involved in a car accident until the other officer explained that he was "sitting up and grubby but talking" As a spouse I think I was always afraid of shots being fired...not anymore!
