Do any of you current CHiPs know of any golf leagues the department has or if each station has groups that play? I am curious because besides Lacrosse, golf it is my favorite sport to play. I know when my grandfather was with LAPD he would golf all the time with other officers. This is my first year of playing. I play as often as 4-5 times a week. I will say that I am addicted to the game and encourage everyone to try it.

My game should not even be called "golf"......it should be called "attempting to strike small ball with club and failing miserabley."

LOL....I like to refer to it as "landscape excavation while in pursuit of a little white ball!"

Plenty o' golfers on this department.....tournaments all the time all over the state, etc. Some offices have more golfers than others; some are very active (and very good golfers!), while some just go out and hack once in a while. I've never heard of any leagues per se, but some offices have groups that play very regularly.
