Desperados fits. These wannabe dillingers are springing up all over. If they are caught and convicted, I hope they swing.

It's a free for all out there. Car chases alone are a dime a dozen because they know that law enforcement will swing for anything that happens. Yes, there were some changes that needed to be made, but the pendulum has swung way the other way. Law enforcements hands are tied when it comes to doing certain things because there are way too many amatuer cameras out there that usually document only half the story to get their 30 seconds of fame. Just sayin'...RIP Officer Capoot.

As jaded as I can get about my hometown, I had a bit of pride today when I happened to drive by Vallejo PD. Flowers spilled down the steps where a pretty large crowd had gathered. One lane was blocked off to accomodate the traffic and people that had gathered.
It is easy to judge the public by the "clients" we have but there are still a lot of good people out there who care about what we do.

I guess the bad guys out there are taking notes when they see all the news stories about car chases being called off when things get dangerous enough. Since just three traffic violations during evading is already felony, committing another 103 has no real downside (unless someone dies in the process) and a big upside if the chase gets called off.
