They are quite a few years late on finally doing this. For years now whenever I got a fake document off someone I would ask them if they got it at MacArthur Park. $300-$400 for a license? Most people told me around $50.

Anyone know if there are any good fakes of the new licenses yet? I think it would be very hard to make a high quality fake of the new license. They really did put some good features on these. The one thing I never saw on the fake old style licenses, even the really high quality ones, was the matte finish bar on the back of the license that you could write on. With the new licenses I think the bear cutout visible when shining a light through the license would be hard to counterfeit accurately. Also the ultraviolet light copy of the persons photograph.

 True, though. Of course, that's not much different of a response when people see us finally catching that 23103 that "has been driving through this part of town like that for years." This particular investigation has been in the works for 3 years.

It depends on the quality and if the seller thinks you can pay more. The fifty dollar one is the one you laugh at when someone hands it to you. The expensive ones look pretty dang good--they have the color-changing security features, pass the light tests, and have a readable magnetic stripe.

MacArthur Park and the Van Nuys Indoor Swapmeet were the common answers I got.

Yup, they are making the new ones, too. And they looked great!

I think you should have been the one giving the interview, your one liners are better.

Ha! No kidding. At least the majority of them had Federal arrest warrants, which gets served in full. There were only a handful of State warrants (2 or 3).
