I would like to extend a large congrats to all that attended the PAT's and PWT's today in San Luis Obisbo. We had to put up with a record high in SLO and they changed the format, so we were all there for 12 hours!!

Again, to those that passed the PAT's in the hot sun, congrats.

See you all in at the QAP this week and good luck!

OK, Here I sit in my hotel room waiting for the QAP. A little nervous? Yes. But very confident.

Is there any one else that was in SLO this past weekend that has read this potst? Sure would like to know if perhaps I stood there talking to you while we waited for the PAT part of the test to be completed for the whole room.

DW, I will be thinking about you and all of your GREAT posts as I sit in the waiting room.

To all the rest of the potential cadets that will be reading this post, good luck with the QAP!!

See you all on the other side!!

Don't be so nervous that you seem undercofident.

They want to talk to a human being, so take everyones advice into deep consideration but don't let it plague your mind as you sit there thinking of what to say.

Just pretend like your talking to your folk's friends that are visiting. Give them due respect and offer valueable content to the conversation.

Make sure it feels more like a conversation then a Q&A session.

Good luck.

In the QAP it is too late to pretend to be something you are not. Just relax and listen and respond truthfully and sincerely.
Be YOURSELF. It is no shame to get turned down. I was turned down three times before I got the job. The race doesn't always go to the swift, it goes to those who keep on running. Seven years of trying. Four (now six) months of Academy, 30 days break in training, nine more months of probation and twenty six years more to retirement. Best decision I ever made.

Hey benmin good luck to you! I've been down in Ventura County all summer. What was the weather like this last weekend?

Hey Bud. Man, it was 98f out there and it was a long day. I made it through the PAT's with no problem. I did however have some problems in the QAP. I have not heard back from the recruiter yet, I will call her on Monday to find out more of the details. I was very hearbroken on the 2 hour drive home, but will get my thoughts together and see if I can send DW a PM in the next few days.

We missed you out there Welpe, It would have been noce to meet you there, and slam a few waters waiting for the groups to go through the PAT's

Good to hear from you!!

Hey ben sorry to hear about the heat and the QAP. Hopefully it went better than you think!

Any idea what QAP score they are currently moving on to the next round there? I'm sorry I missed the PAT...I'm thinking of going for the Q4 Coastal testing cycle. Since I already passed the written, I get to waiver right on to the PAT on my birthday. Hopefully it'll be a bit cooler in December. ;)

Do you still think they are taking 80's to move on, and do 90's even assure it? Just curious, thanks!

Are you asking if it's changed in the past two weeks? No, I doubt it. Confidence, my friend!
