View Full Version : interesting dashcam video
Those are the correct pictures. Look at where the the sticks point and how they are colored. Usually the sticks that are red indicate a wounding shot. Two sticks are red that I saw, one in the far side of the headrest and one that comes through the windshield and ends before hitting the seat. If you listen carefully to the audio, you can hear the Officer grunt, sounding like he gets hit.

not everyday you get this kind of reaction during a pursuit. this is in texas. the officer is making his way toward a pursuit, and when he finally catches up to it, the suspect decides he wants to try out his firearm. bad suspect...bad... go to your room!

A 48-year-old Bulverde man was charged with attempted capital murder Friday after he fired at a Schertz police officer, spraying his patrol car with more than 30 rounds, authorities said.
The man, identified as Michael Patrick Kennedy, used an AK-47 assault rifle and a handgun to open fire on Officer Richard Kunz during a traffic stop Thursday night, according to an arrest affidavit.
Kunz managed to take cover behind his patrol car and returned fire, striking Kennedy three times in the back and neck, officials said.
Kennedy was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition Friday. He was expected to survive.
Kunz, who was not injured, was on administrative leave Friday.
The Schertz officer stopped a driver for a speeding violation at 11:38 p.m. in the 23500 block of Interstate 35.
Kunz approached a black Toyota Corolla and identified himself as a police officer, according to the affidavit. Kunz then saw the driver raise a pistol and point it toward the officer's face, the affidavit states.
Officers recovered three firearms, including the assault rifle and a 9 mm pistol.
The Texas Rangers are assisting Schertz police in their investigation.
Thursday night's shooting was the first against a Schertz officer in more than 2? years, Public Information Officer Debbie K. Gildea said.
Kunz has been on the Schertz police force, which has 36 sworn officers, for two years, Gildea said.

I'm confused guys....the video is shot during the day of a pursuit and the above story is about a a shooting during a traffic stop in the evening. What am I missing? I was thinking when norcal posted the pic's they were related to the video.

THANK YOU!
My God I thought I was the most retarded person on this forum.
I think these are completely separate events. The info in the aforementioned story does not match the video at all.

I live in Dallas right now.
The pictures are of two seperate incidents. In the dashcam video, you can see "RPD", for Richardson Police Department. They're on the N/B 75 interchange with George Bush Turnpike, just north of Richardson heading into Plano. This is in the North Dallas area.
The pictures are not of a Richardson police car, but the Schertz police car referenced in the news story NorCal posted.
I've been browsing the forum as I'm applying with the CHP, but this is the first time I've felt I could add anything to the discussion
