I was careless enough to buy a car that had a slight smoke smell inside. Does anyone have any tips for removing the odor?

I used baking soda and water when my Daughter was young and puked in the car now and then. Seemed to work pretty well. I then put a little of the baking soda in an open baggie and left it under the seat for a week or two........."Oh that's just baking soda Officer"

Try a product called "OZIUM". That's what we have used in the fire business.

Haha, Ozium must have a great reputation. My buddy who runs a car repair shop told me about that stuff. I bought two cans today and now the car reeks of Ozium.

Febreze does a pretty good job of removing the odors too.

Exactly what I was going to say. The stuff has a smell of it's own. You want to neutralize the smell, not replace it with another one.

"consume" enzyme digester took the dog smell out of my jeep....worth a try.

Two cans of Ozium is a lot of product. The stuff is very concentrated so I hope you didn't use much.

Have it shampooed, then use OZIUM as previously recommended. Those two together will work very well.

Any suggestions for something to clean the head liner with?

Haven't we confused you enough? I'm sticking with the baking soda idea. For the headliner I'd lighty spray it with a mixture of the baking soda and water then wipe it dry with a microfiber towel. I worked in the hotel business for 20 years and delt with all types of odor issues.

You might also want to change the interior air filter. Otherwise everytime you flip on the fan for the heat or A/C that smell will return.

I guess my suggestion of putting road kill on the back seat for a week won't fly then.

That could be an improvement if too much Ozium was used.
