I remember reading about this when they came out.

That being said about 6 months ago I heard one. I don't remember where, but I was like WTF is making that noise. After I saw the ambulance I remembered hearing about them and put two and two together.

I think it's about time we get something new. We have the new Whelen Engineering sirens, and the instant response the new "Yelp" offers is much more effective than the slow wind up of the old "Yelp" and "Wail." But more and more, I've notice they seem to be a bit ineffective in moving traffic on busy freeways.
