Hello everyone:

I have been visiting this forum for several months and would like to first take a moment to thank the Administrator, Moderators and Officers for providing us with a VERY helpful and informative site to ask our questions.
I am currently in the background phase of the application process and I am getting really nervous about my final interview coming up this Friday.
My initial interview was only about two weeks ago and I would normally be really excited with how fast the process is going, but as of today no one that I gave as references has been contacted by my BI. Is this something that is normal and I am feeling the same anxiety that all other applicants feel or is this the "kiss of death" and something has come up that may have DQed me?
I was COMPLETELY honest at my CVSA and I am getting really anxious as to why none of my references or co-workers have been contacted and my final interview only days away.
Thanks in advance for any and all honest responses.

That's very strange... I am not sure why but BI usually contacts everyone.

Let us know how your final interview goes.

p.s. did you pass CVSA?

Two weeks does seem a little soon - however, if you've lived in the same basic area all your adult life, it may be ok. Also, I've heard that sometimes BI's have many cases going at the same time and sometimes they only have a couple - maybe your BI's only working on your case at the moment - doesn't seem unrealistic. Keep your chin up and remember - try not to stress yourself out as there's nothing you can do to change the outcome of your final meeting at this point anyway - what's done is pretty much done. ;)

a) One does not "pass" or "fail" a CVSA.

b) Speculation is not going to help anything. Hell, maybe aliens landed and told lies to your BI... If you've been open and honest, you're doing all you can. An interview two weeks into the process is not going to give anybody, certainly not us with no knowledge of your case, an idea of what is going on. Please try and relax. I know waiting sucks, but all you can do is go in to your interview and answer the questions asked.
