I'd love it if we got the 212's.
There's a new trailer out with even more Chippie action! Looks like we get our butts kicked by all the apes.

That looks awesome. I was expecting something like the original version. This one I can actually sit through. Maybe it's just cause the "CHP factor", but actually looks like a good movie.

Awesome movie! Best movie so far this year! I'll definitely buy this one on DVD. You get to see a bunch of chippies get their butts kicked by apes, including a chief.

True, BUT... how about a spoiler alert so that others don't get pissed off? :noidea:

Good movie. Really well done in my opinion. Apparently the chippie in the helicopter is a 2star chief, based on the collar. And yes, we got our butts kicked by the apes :).
Chippies were using Glocks.. so fake.. lol. Great Movie..

Meh, you have to expect a certain number of inaccuracies. The cars seemed a little off, but I wasn't sure why. I think "highway patrol" on the back trunk was a little small.
Although it may just be the light bubbles weren't turning opaque with age.

I wasn't really looking at the finer details, but it did enter my mind, "Why are all the PIOs and Sergeants doing out there?", because the cars were so clean.
I was looking forward to this movie ever since I heard they were filming, and I wasn't disappointed. It was a very high quality, well executed "B" movie and that's what I hoped it would be.

Although it may just be the light bubbles weren't turning opaque with age. I'm the sort of guy who watches movies and notices things like incorrect buttons on LAPD uniforms, lightbars that aren't CCR Title 13 compliant, the Federal PA-20 siren being used on a modern cars, stuff like that.
I have a hunch that if I were to watch this movie, I be able to write a couple pages worth of mistakes I noticed.

The door and roof decals were way off. The light bars were the correct vision light bars, but they had the same alternating blue and red pod covers that all movies with CHP cars have. They were shooting glocks. The roof numbers were small, and they were missing antennas and had antennas where there are none.
Also all the bulbs on the vision light bars were working, that in itself is highly improbable.
Didn't detract from the movie though, was still worth watching.

Most movie/TV production folks could care less about the finer details and accuracy of vehicles because 99.9% of their viewers don't know what is or isn't right and because even if the production folks do know or are advised of such, they'll always trade off reality for flash and dazzle.

I could care less about the inaccuracies with our PV's and guns, I am more concerned with other more gross and blatant overstatements and inaccuracies... for example, the helicopter, aside from actually being in the air when you need it, was overhead for much more than their 5 minutes of fuel allows and a two star was doing more than sitting at the command post.
Overall, very well done. I'm glad they show us in a better light than just changing tires on the side of the road like in Training Day.

Don't forget the wrong push bumpers, and also the big fog lights on the push bumpers. But all in all it was a good movie
