I'm looking at buying an old Willy's truck, but it's currently non-opped. If I do go ahead and buy it, would I have to trailer it home because of the non-op, or could I get a temporary permit until I get normal registration on it? Any ideas?

You can get a One-day trip permit from DMV that will allow you to drive it from Point A to Point B.
