I'm looking for any contact information for an official CHP Historian, Historical Society or Museum.

I've searched the internet without much luck so I figured I'd try here.

Thank you,

Dominic

You could also go to the California state archives downtown

You mean the museum at the Academy?
We actually have a Museum Foundation that has the museum stuff and the vehicles housed at the Academy. Someday, when people have money again we will be contacting all of you to help build a new museum on the Academy grounds. We have some plans, we have a good group, we just need 10 or 20 mil. :noidea:

I propose a liberal CHP pension tax to raise the necessary funds

Speaking of Museums, I was in SAC this weekend and wanted to go to the Academy grounds. Can someone give me some direction? I mean is there an actual Museum open to the public? What are the hours and days? I will stop by the next time I am in Sac.

There's some useful info in this thread.

When in doubt, pick up the phone and call. As far as I know, there is still Admin staff available to answer your questions.
