I just recieved mine today, an 85. I was pretty surprised since I thought the interview went horrible. I guess my answers for the scenerio questions made up for my brain-farts at the beginning of the interview.

Wannabeachippie, like Ridder04 said, keep your head up. I had a similar outcome my first time through....I got a DQ at my first QAP which sort of translates into a really really low score. Second time through the testing everything was so much easier because I knew what to expect. I'm not sure what the schedule looks like, but it's up on the chp website- might be quicker if you tested out in Valley Div. I think thier dates come before Golden Gate in the cycle of things.....

Same scenario as me. DONT get down or discouraged. I thought I did a good job but scored an 80. Needless to say you will not be getting a CTH. Just keep running and working out. Go reapply RIGHT NOW thats what I did and I have another PAT next weekend. Don't give up bro... it will be worth it. The second QAP will be alot easier for us.

Absolutely right, the second time will be easier; or in my case the third. Whatever it takes, forget what the word quit means, the harder the effort the sweeter the reward!

Good luck!

Remember that having to take the QAP over again is not all bad. It shows your commitment to be an officer and that is something that they want to see. Good luck!

TheForceCHP,

I know you have already gone thru the entire process. How long was it after your score that you received your commitment to hire letter? If I am correct, I think I read you also received a 90? I hope they take 90's this go round.

"Remember that having to take the QAP over again is not all bad." - unless you're doing it again because of a DQ....then it might get a little tense!

They are taking 85's.

Unless they changed it, they should be taking 85's as stated above. If I remember right it took about a week or two(I think two) to receive my QAP score and commitment to hire letter(I got them on the same day, though from what other's have said that is not always the case)
