She tells the officer "can we settle this through sex" but she didn't bother to repeat it the second time. Is this considered bribing a police officer? I wonder if she got charged or not...
Did I mention she's a hottie?

I've heard that the very attractive officers get propositioned a lot, especially by the intoxicated ladies. I'm sure 98% of them turn it down, but there are those 2% that say "follow me to the dark alley"

...and those are the 2% that give the rest of us a black eye, and often end up being fired and/or criminally prosecuted.
One of my field training officers gave me some sage advice that I've always remembered - he told me, "The badge will get you tail, but the tail will get your badge." (edited somewhat for purposes of propriety, since we are in a public forum).

Yes, I have heard the stories about those 2% and it is sad. But that is very good and true advice to follow.

I guess that goes along with the ethos "Don't get your honey where you get your money."
It also goes along with the old adage about the "Three B's" causing most of the problems in a cop's world - Booze, Broads and Brutality. These are good things for all of you youngsters considering a career in law enforcement to burn into your brains now....it will save you untold trouble down the road.

In defense of all the flirty sober & drunk women that make passes at cute officers...you make it very hard to resist, most of us are a sucker for the uniform!

I have seen women do some of the dumbest things to get out of a speeding ticket before and I have to tell you it is pretty funny. At least I thought it was.

The officer on my first ride-along told me that(though non-edited). He told me that after we helped a row of stranded motorists that all had ran over some debris on the freeway. Mainly because one of them was very flirtatious.
Also about the "stud." Did he ever reply to that post about him?

I've only heard of this happening. I've never experienced it. SB405, you're NOT talking about me! I think I'm the only one who's sons have posted, so I suspect . . .

Me too on the congrats. I just got my second one. And... sorry if that was you removing rubber from the lanes a week or two ago on A-12 and I drove like a D*^k and almost sideswipped you when you were pulling out.
If it was you stop in next time you are in area.

Welcome Back YM!!!! Thought maybe you took a job at a PD or something bad...
Congrats on the grandbaby. I have 4 now, and I love the process whereby I spoil them, then send them back to their parents...

Thanks everyone. My middle son's wife gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. My oldest's girlfriend is about to deliver the second grandbaby. Keeping my fingers crossed for a grandaughter. And thank you all for the welcome back. Been vacating for a while so no retchp, it wasn't me on A-12 though I've been meaning to drop by on one of my rare trips into the area office. Lately I've been more concerned about lawn care, mountain biking, and sailing.
You guys all rock! Thanks.
As for the juxt of this thread, and the one that dw rightfully put the cabosh on in the general forum, retchp layed it out perfectly. Those three things; booze, brutality, and beauties, have taken more badges than any other forms of misconduct. Inappropriate sexual misconduct usually takes badges in their first three years of employment. The booze usually causes problems later on. Assault under color of authority is commonly caught through a pattern of behavior. Just remember, a pretty girl, as sweetdancer mentioned in one of her posts, may think a man in uniform is attractive. That also implies that they wouldn't give you the time of day without said uniform. "Badgers," as we've called them for years, are attracted to just about everything but the real person beneath the badge. And if you lose your job over them, which just happened to several young officers according to the recent AA summary, they'll cast you aside just as fast as the department did. Take pride in everything you do and don't fall prey to a shallow person's infatuation. A shallow person's cheap flattery is simply not worth sacrificing your career.
