Passed the written!

Yes, I am going to a "QAP seminar" that the local satellite office is holding this Thursday in Orange. I took the test on June 3rd, so it took about 12 days for my letter to get to me in the mail. That same day, I also got an email, "reminding" me that I was scheduled to take the PAT on June 24th.

Anybody from Orange County head to San Diego for the next phase of testing and want to take a tag-a-long? I am willing to split gas! :-)

I just got word today that I passed the written exam with a 65.7!

I am totally stoked! Now, I just have to figure out a way to get to the rest of the testing in San Diego!

Congrats...find a way to do a mock oral board before you get to the next step...its important.

Just curious, you say you "got word"...how did you find out?

It's been a week since I took the test, I check the mail every day looking for a response. How long did you have to wait? Did you also take it on the 10th?

Try and get on at least one ride along before your QAP. I am not sure what the time frame is for your testing cycle. If you can't get on an RA before your QAP, then at least schedule one even if it is after the QAP and let the panel know. It will show your interest in the department. Ride alongs look good when you go to your QAP and you are asked what you have done to prepare yourself for this job. They are also very educational.
