Fellow brothers and sisters in tan,
If you are an officer with the CHP and DW verified your status and you would like access to the "Verified LEO" section of my forum, all you need to do is send me a PM (private message) with your screen name on this site and I will approve your request. The verified section is limited to law enforcement personnel from the United States.
I will take dw's word for it that you are a sworn law enforcement officer, so you won't have to give me any of your contact info.
1. Register for a screen name at The SF Bay Area Cops Forum
2. Let me know what that screen name is by sending me a PM on this site (CHPForums).
3. I will add to the "Verified LEO" group that will enable you to view the section
4. I will provide you with the password to access the section
Regards,
Kevin

I need to learn how to change tires first, maybe dw would be kind enough to teach me since he's an expert with years of experience assisting stranded motorists with his excellent customer service skills. ;)

Don't take it too personal Kenny. I got banned from that site because I dared question an unsolicited e-mail I got from the admin about business cards for sale. It's called spam in any other book, but when I asked about it I was banned. I never made one post on that board so there was no provocation for the ban either. If he wants a site for cops only (which it seems he does) then let him have it.
I did re-register with a differnt name though so that I can browse the site occasionally as I do find it entertaining and informative sometimes. Since I have not applied at SFPD I have nothing to offer in the way of advise for applicants that are further back in the process so I read rather than post.

Yes, I have personally banned quite a number of immature wannabes (Dipmo, NorcalNoob, Kenny, etc...) asking stupid questions on my site. TROLLS are not allowed!

Huh, I never have posted on that site (and it's easily checked, search the member portion for me). I wonder how I end up labeled an immature wanabee?

Who cares, it's his website. Let him do whatever he wants with it. Just hang out here at the CHPForums, the admins here are nice people.

It is his website and I really don't care, but I felt I needed to make my point.
It's not personal and it shouldn?t be made into such. Kevin provides just as valuable service to SFPD applicants as DW offers here to us. Unless I had some interest in the SFPD (and I really, really don't) I don't so much belong there anyway.

Yep, I agree with you. I'm sure Kevin is a fine SFPD officer. I know how you feel. People online usually act differently than when they're in person. For example, my friends are all nice and cool when I'm in person with them. But... when we're online, they act all rude and troll like there's no tomorrow. One of the bad things about online is people acting like a tough guy behind the keyboard and not giving constructive reasoning (I'm not talking about you!). Such as by saying "ALL COPS SUCK". Just because they had a bad experience with one officer, doesn't mean the whole department sucks. Just head over to ar15.com and browse through "General Discussions" forum. You'll find alot of anti-cop threads there. And it's funny how the mods lets it stay.
And at ar15.com, you'll find alot of "100% super-duper patriotic Americans" there. Hey, I'm pro-U.S, pro-gun, pro-LEO and pro-military, too but the people at ar15.com take things wayyyy toooo far. For example, you participate in a thread such as "Post pictures of your car". It's all good if you post a picture of an American car but, if you post a picture of an import car, you'll get slammed in the azz like there's no tomorrow. They'll talk you down and bad mouth you for driving an import car. Then they'll post a message such as "JAPANESE CARS SUCK, THEY'RE A P.O.S. DAMN JAP CARS". Some of them will talk you down and bad mouth you for owning forgein guns such as SIGs, GLOCKs, Berettas, etc... and not owning "100% real American guns" such as the famous 1911A1 .45ACP or guns made by S&W.
I hate the online world sometimes...
How 'bout y'all stop talking about Kevin in the third person. If you want to visit his site, go for it, but don't vent here about how it is run. It would seem Kevin has a shorter fuse in terms of immature and juvenile behavior than I, but my fuse is quickly shortening.
In my book, you respect your elders, those more accomplished than you, and officers -- among others. Lets show some respect where respect is due, and that goes across the board. I'm not addressing anyone in particular, but if someone who is older, wiser, or an officer is giving a hint, maybe some of you guys should listen.
...and don't even think about replying with, "Thanks for showing them, dw," "way to go," "amen," or any other superfluous affirmation. You may show your acknowledgement in future posts.
